After an outstanding 2013-14 for the Solihull Barons, head coach Darren Bellerby, has been working to ensure the 2014-15 Barons will be just as formidable.
First to be announced as joining next seasons Barons are returning forwards Joe Henry and Connor Hubbuck.
For Henry this will be his second full season with the Barons having joined the Solihull side part way through 2012-13, having previously iced for the EPL's Telford Tigers and the Elite and National league Coventry Blaze.
Last season was arguably Henry's strongest to date. Centering the Barons top line, Henry racked up the points at an astonishing rate, scoring better than a goal a game while also providing opportunities for linemates. The Barons top points scorer, it was no surprise when Henry lifted the Player's Player award at the recent end of season awards' night.
Also pulling on a red and white shirt for 2014-15 will be Connor Hubbuck whose sharp eye for goal saw him find the net a career best 24 times last season. The 22 year old began his hockey career coming through the junior ranks at Solihull, followed by a few years with the National League Blaze before returning to the Barons at the start of last season. |
