The Solihull Barons are pleased to announce its netminding duo for the 2011 / 2012 Season with the return of Hayden Laverick & Sam Hewitt.

Head coach Darren Bellerby today confirmed the return of both of the talented young net minders and is delighted that they have returned to back stop the Barons for another season.

On the return of both netminders coach Bellerby had this to say on the duo……

“I’m delighted to have secured the services of both Sam & Hayden for this season” stated Bellerby, “I have two very strong and talented netminders who pushed themselves week in week out last season to stay on top form and compete for that starting role. Both Hayden & Sam split their duties last season and the Barons reaped the rewards of having two fresh inform netminders over the entire season.

“During the off season I had feared that we would lose the services of one of the two guys. Towards the back end of last season I had several enquiries about the two lads from EPL Clubs looking for young keepers to act as back up in the EPL but to my delight they have both committed themselves to the Barons for a further season “

“In a Team last season that Scored over 247 goals and conceded only 60 with a +/- of 187 a large part of the credit goes out to these two netminders who both posted save averages in the high 90% last season. Both will have a bigger role to play in keeping the rubber out of the net this year. With the loss of top goal scorer Dean Tonks to the EPL side Peterborough Phantoms it was imperative I signed a defensive unit that would not leak goals this year and this is why it was with high importance that I signed both netminders and the defence I have this season.”

With the Signing of both Sam & Hayden this now completes the Barons defensive line-up for the coming season. With only the remainder of the forwards to announce, Head Coach Bellerby has stated that he is waiting on a few players to get back to him and did hint that one player in particular, if he can get to agree terms, will be the Baron’s and possibly ENL1’s capture of the season.
