The 3rd Re-Signing for the Solihull Barons is last season's 2nd top point scorer and Young Player of the Year Richard Slater. Rich has been a Solihull Player through and through, came up via the junior ranks at Solihull and is rapidly becoming an established player for the Barons at ENL level. 

Last season Rich finished 2nd in the Barons points scoring with (28+45 = 83 Points in 24 Games) and at 19yrs old has a very good future ahead of him. Darren Bellerby has this to say on the re-signing of Rich Slater “With Tonksy (Dean Tonks) Moving up to the EPL with Peterborough this season Rich was one of the key forwards I was looking to retain to spearhead our attack up front next season. Rich is still young and has bags of energy and will guarantee you goals next season and this is why to retaining him for next season was key for me. I have no doubt that with Tonksy’s departure Rich will step straight into his boots, lead up front and with further names to be announced to compliment Rich, our forwards will be deadly to opposing defenseman this season . "
